- Stock #76428 - Although her appearance is very traditional, this beautiful 1974 Formosa 41 has been meticulously rebuilt and reconfigured over a 13 year time span, resulting in an interior now very modern in concept while still retaining its classic lines. The vessel was stripped down to a bare hull and all but one of the bulk heads replaced. The teak decks were removed and re-cored. The coach roof and sides were reconfigured for better head room and lines. All fiberglass work was done with epoxy resin. The interior has been completely rebuilt and the galley reconfigured. The original teak doors and draws have been restored, and ash striped sidewalls and overhead have been beautifully refinished. The cushions and upholstery are new. LED lighting has been installed throughout the vessel, which not only reduces heat but is a huge saving on battery power. The boat has been completely rewired with marine grade tinned wire. All the thru hulls have been replaced, installed with epoxy bedded backing plates and bronze ball valves There is more than ample storage in this well thought out interior. The spacious saloon is equipped with a 19" LED flat screen TV and Sirius XM radio. There are two separate cabins up front. The large galley has a Norcold freezer and refrigerator (both are 12 volt and 120 volt with an automatic switch over), a stainless steel 3 burner gimbaled stove with oven and a double stainless steel sink. The head features a separate stand up shower with Johnson sump pump. This Formosa 41 is well equipped with Si-Tex electronics. MDS8 radar, SP-80 autopilot, EC7FE chart plotter and a Norstar NS100 VHF radio. The boat is powered by a Perkins 4-108 with 300 hours since a major overhaul. The fuel is filtered by dual Racor 500 filters from a new Luthers 85 gal fuel tank. A 120 amp alternator combined with the 100 amp 12v generator gives you ample charging power for the 6 - 6 volt golf cart batteries. On deck the non skid areas are finished with Kiwi Grip. The smooth areas were painted with Interlux Brightside. All new dodger and bimini provide plenty of shelter from the elements. The original wooden masts have been replaced with aluminum. All of the standing rigging has mechanical terminals. The original 1/4" chain plates have been replaced with 3/8"stainless steel and a new backing plate system. 5 Anchors are included, 1 45# CQR on 200' of 3/8" chain with swivel and 100' of plait rode. 3 Danforth anchors, large medium and small. 1 Mushroom anchor for the dingy. The helm seat has been reconfigured to accommodate the generator, separate propane tank locker and extra storage. A custom swim platform makes boarding the boat from the water a breeze. The 10" Caribe RIB with a 6hp Mercury outboard is stored securely under custom davits. A well thought out system using the mizzen boom makes easy work of attaching and removing the outboard. This is a great sailing boat, very forgiving in heavy weather. With just about everything new on the boat, she's ready to sail the waters in comfort and style.
